The client

Malibra is a streaming platform that features stories and training videos of world renowned combat sport athletes. We created the concept and design of the site to be a destination for martial art enthusiasts and practitioners.

The challenge

Established companies, such as FloGrappling and the UFC's Fight Pass, offer a variety of Martial Arts content that are created with large, high-budget productions and well-known fighters. We needed to find a way to differentiate Malibra and also create a cost-effective marketing and growth strategy that could compete with companies with larger budgets.

The approach

It was crucial to create an effective brand that informs the final user (customers) of what Malibra is - an online streaming destination for both Martial Arts practitioners and fans. To convey this, we developed a product and service strategy, branding, creative and art direction, and UX/UI design. We also developed a strategy to partner with accomplished fighters who would work as influencers for Malibra through the affiliate program.
